The body of Christ grows through loving relationships, and so the place that we can make the greatest impact is with the people that we can love right where we live every day – our homes, our neighborhoods, our schools, our work-places, our hang-outs, our play-grounds. You can join Jesus’ vision for our city if you will choose to LOVE WHERE YOU LIVE.
When Jesus said “Love your neighbor as yourself,” what if he meant that we should love our ACTUAL neighbors? How would that change the way you thought about the people on your street or in your apartment building or your dorm? How would it change the way you spent your time, or the efforts you make to know the people around you? Now, imagine if every person in Fort Worth lived within walking distance of people who love Jesus and love their neighbors. Here at McKinney Church we are committed to making this vision a reality. We encourage you to use the resources below to help you develop your skills as a neighbor.
God's call to love our neighbors doesn't have to be complicated. The Block Map is a simple way to begin. Write in the names of your eight closest neighbors, and then use the B.L.E.S.S practices to make a difference in the lives of those living right next door.Download the Block Map
