2000 years ago, Jesus gave us all the command to go to the nation and share his love with everyone so that everyone would have the chance to know him. This is why we go. We go because there are people in the world who have never heard the name of Jesus, and because of that, they have never had the chance to experience the life changing love and joy that we all experience. We go for the billions who do not believe and have not heard. We go to be obedient to Christ. We go because we must. Where has God called you this summer?
Greece is facing a time of turmoil and change that they have never experienced before. From a 25% unemployment rate to an ever increasing refugee crisis, the Greek people are seeing their lives rapidly change before their eyes. Because of this the 99.5% of Greeks who do not know who Jesus are rapidly becoming open to the Gospel in unprecedented ways. While the Greek people have many needs, the thing they need most of all are laborers for the Gospel.
In Greece, we work with a church planting team who lives their year round and join them in their work to reach college students. You will be a part of a small group teammates who go to the campus and share the Gospel with students through sports, art, and whatever else God has given you a talent for. There will also be opportunities to reach out to the growing refugee population.
East Asia has been a country that has been closed to the Gospel for decades. During this time, any prior Christian influence has been lost and replaced with a worldview completely devoid of God. However, God is doing big thing among the billion+ people of East Asia and the Gospel has taken root and spread in ways few have ever experienced. While a movement has been started, there is so much left to do!

There will also be opportunities to take part in reaching out to the orphan and homeless populations in addition to serving at a Young Life camp for high school students in the mountains of China.
Thailand is home to more than 15 million people; 95% of them identify as Buddhist and less than 1% claim to put their faith and trust in Jesus. Even with the overwhelming percentage of Buddhists, the light of Christ is shining through the darkness as more and more Thai people hear the Gospel.
In Bangkok, we will work with long term missionaries to reach college campuses. We will develop relationships with college students through English corners, sports outreach, and through the specific talents of our mission team. We will also have the chance to work with Pakistani believers who have fled their country, as well as other ministries that are currently happening in Bangkok.
